Pacific poker no more bonus email!
I recently got this email from Pacific Poker where I play regardding my bonus points:
This is Russell M. from the Operations Department at Cassava (Gibraltar) Ltd. Cassava (Gibraltar) Ltd operates "Pacific Poker". I am contacting you in regards to your Pacific Poker account with username "Tealk". Our bonus point's scheme in Pacific Poker is a great benefit that we are happy to present to our members. This scheme is not targeted towards expert poker players but rather to help the average player overcome losing streaks. Please notice that our Bonus Policy states that we reserve the right at our sole discretion, to deny any bonus or promotion, or rescind any policy in respect of that user, either temporarily or permanently. Since you are a very successful poker player (as can be seen from your total winnings), we have decided to stop bonus points from being added to your account. The current bonus points that you have in your account, can be converted to money and placed into your bankroll until the 12th of June 2005. From this date onwards, although your points will keep accumulating, you will not be able to convert them. Please note that this by no means will hurt any of your other privileges as a successful player on our site - we congratulate you on all your winnings and we hope to see you continue to prosper in our poker community. Regards, Russell M. What a joke. Punishment for people winning $$ on there site. I know it's just a few $$ here and there. But that's just wrong. |

Re: Pacific poker no more bonus email!
That does suck. But as long as they don't disappear with all my funds, I'm okay. Remember, all these sites are completely unregulated and offshore. I'm more worried about credit risk than them changing policies like this.

Try Empire. I hear they have a much more liberal bonus policy.

Re: Pacific poker no more bonus email!
Remember this isn't the monthly bonus. This is the player points conversion. The points that you get for playing raked hands...then you convert those points into $$. It's totally different then a deposit bonus.

Re: Pacific poker no more bonus email!
Yeah, unfair. I remember a similiar thread where the same thing happened to another guy. This and another instance in which they handled a collusion case quite poorly caused a lot of us from ever playing there again.

Re: Pacific poker no more bonus email!
I've been playing there for almost 2 years now. Do you think it's shady enough to be worried about my bankroll? It does make me think, when they obviously know I am a winning player, and that they are taking away a perk for being so. I dunno...just makes me think. I love the site becuase of all the fish there. It would be hard to leave.

Re: Pacific poker no more bonus email!
I tried to make a withdrawl, and they said I had not met the bonus requirements, and If I withdrew again, before I met the requirements, there was a possibility of my funds being taken and account shut. Now that was my first withdrawl, and only attempt. I was not trying to short them, but they didn't tell me where to look to find out if/when I met the requirements. Shadynesss.

Re: Pacific poker no more bonus email!
I hear ya. but there is on there website a place to go to figure out the things needed to get your bonus and cashout. But what happens is when they get another promo going. The old promo rules are taken out, and the new ones are listed. So you don't know where to look to find them. but they should have told you it in a email if you ask for it.
