I have literally cried myself to sleep over the horrible things that people have done to each other.

Ok, stop being such a pussy.

Stop crying. And I'm telling you this, so this is pretty embarrassing for ME to have to tell you this.

Although this may seem like jake trying to be funny at first (and he may be), I think this and some therapy might be the best thing for you.

Great post! Except that this isn't an "injustice". If you're pretty sure it is, perhaps you should take up posting pro-communism threads in the politics forum.

I think your argument is similar to "don't worry about rapes until murder is abolished," which (as I also posted) I am not buying.

Im a few years removed from the SAT... but I think I still have it...

Tell me where I stand on this model.
Tell me where you stand on this model.
Tell me whether this model is valid.

You guys are being children, but I suspect some non-posters are following and actually thinking about the issues; this is really for them.

IMO, there has to be a way that the the world could still be capitalist/semi-capitalist while still assuring the poorest of the poor a better quality of life than they have now.

I'd rather not weigh in on this debate... but...

I would ask that, in the future, when picking an alias, you not use the term "Lord", or anything referencing God.

Personally, I think this is worse/more offensive than eating meat.

Perhaps funnier than the original thread? Can I get a judgement/ruling on this?

I do NOT understand why meat-eaters get so upset with vegetarians.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think that it's because many veggies are so 'holier than thou' about it, and so unbelieveably fussy.

Whenever you go to a restaurant they're always complaining about the lack of choice for vegetarians and the 'token' veggie meal. Of course, if I go to a vegetarian restaurant (which I do, quite often), there's never a 'token' steak on the menu.

You have to be sooooo careful with a veggie in the party - do they eat fish, eggs, is the stuff cooked in animal fat, has it got gelatin in it, blah, blah, blah.

A veggie friend of mine made quite a scene because the meal that was advertised as vegetarian had a couple of drops of Worcester Sauce in it, which contains minute traces of Anchovies. Anyone would have thought it was large amounts of Cyanide (which would have been preferable).

At least they were consistent, I suppose, - what amazes me is the veggies who eat fish - just because it isn't furry, it's somehow less sentient than a land-dwelling beast.

Lastly - most of the veggies that I know are skinny, healthy looking bastards - this just makes me, as slightly portly omnivore, feel worse.
