ace in your face
No reads at the time, by now i know he's about a 40/5 through 50 hands. He is pretty agressive - likes to gamble.
with no draws my only concern was a set of a better ace. should i have capped the flop, fold anywhere or raise the river? thanks Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Re: ace in your face
I would have played it exactly the same.

Re: ace in your face
His 3bet preflop and on the flop looks as if you're behind a bigger ace, but I think you need to call this down.

Re: ace in your face
Ya, I like it too. He DID limp-reraise PF after all, and you have a medium kicker. 40/5, he doesn't raise with many hands, so those few hands will be good ones. 5%PFR'ers aren't raising AJ and worse aces, and it looks like he has definately has that last ace.

Re: ace in your face
The limp reraise is always a weird move but I rarely see it without the guy having AA, KK, QQ or some random suited connector. We know he doesn't have AA so in this case I'm going with the suited connector. I raise the river and call a 3-bet. If he had 77, 66 or AK or AQ I'd be quite surprised and put a note on him.

Re: ace in your face
Depending on the game conditions, my position, and what the action is to me, but yes, I do often. I think most people on this board will almost always open-raise AJo.

does everyone raise preflop with AJo? [/ QUOTE ] No is the obvious answer. However most good players do. |

Re: ace in your face
I play it the same. You have a 3rd party coming along passively, hopefully on a draw.
