Playerview stats
Just bought playerview since I'm now playing 2/4 (well from today on, haven't played for a few days). Anyway, just wondering what stats you guys have found the most useful?
For the whole table, VPIP is obviously a good one. Any others you find useful? For individual opponents, I'm thinking VPIP and W$SD. VPIP might be inaccurate over a small sample, but I imagine W$SD would give a pretty good indication even over a small sample (<50 = sucks). |

Re: Playerview stats
For the entire table I like Avg. VP$IP, Avg. PRF, and Avg. WtSD.
For individual players why not just have everything? I have PRF, VP$IP, WtSD, W$SD, and all agg stats. Here is my layout if you are interested. http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~sjaspan/...iew_Layout.pvl |

Re: Playerview stats
I'll try your layout. For now I've just changed some colours, added #hands as well (to see sample size, but also to pick out the regulars).
What sort of moving average do you keep for the stats? Also, what sort of table VPIP figures are ok. I've read that I should look for 50+. That seems unrealistic for 4tabling. Mid 40s ok? Basically looking for a general guide eg, 50%+ is juicy, 45%+ is good, <45 isn't that great and <40 look somewhere else. Got 4tables open right now (just playing with PV, no poker right now), VPIP 32-33 on 3 of them |

It is to the right of every player. [ QUOTE ] What sort of moving average do you keep for the stats? [/ QUOTE ] I don't understand this. Could be some feature of PlayerView that I am not aware of. [ QUOTE ] Also, what sort of table VPIP figures are ok. Those number are for the .5/1 games I have been playing so I am guessing the 2/4 will be a little tigher. |

Re: Playerview stats
Guys,
Those numbers look good and you'll be suprised when you look at the 2/4 Goop, it's not any tighter in my experience. |

Re: Playerview stats
First of all. For table VPIP, should you have the "include my stats" option checked? How many people do we want in the pot?
What you really want are some players to feed off?? Ie a table might have an unimpressive VPIP, but there are a couple of maniacs that make it worthwhile? Seems like you can bluff alot more at 3/6 than the lower stakes (I've only played .5/1). Low VPIP and low WTSD% might indicate an easy table to bluff? I'm thinking at 3/6 that 45%VPIP is good, and I think I'll play anything 40%+ (maybe lower if there are some total maniacs). So, playing 3/6 now. Have the BR and read it wasn't much harder, so why not give it a go (nothing to do with gergery's comment, I shouldn't be included in that group). I played briefly today (200ish hands) and it felt fine. I'll keep you guys up to do with my progress because if I can profit up there then the rest of you guys definately can (I haven't read much at all, learning mainly from playing and relying on intuition). |
