Default Party 5/10, SB vs BB. How weak was this?

Less then 50 hands with this opponent, so assume no read. Nothing out of line at least. What should I have done differently?

Sorry no converter, I deleted the file already.

Hero is SB - Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Villian is BB.

Folded to Hero in SB who raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps.

Flop (8sb)- 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero bets, BB calls

Turn (5bb) - [5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls

River (7bb) - [5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls

Results - BB shows A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and takes down the pot.

I think I lost the least. Should I have c/r the turn and folded to a 3-bet? Check/calling turn and river puts same money in pot out of position and gets me to a showdown.

I think I should have c/r the turn, except I don't see how I can fold QQ in that situation. His preflop action could just be anything, steal/re-steal mode from the blinds.

All comments welcome

I think your opponent played this hand well on the flop. The turn you have to bet again. If you check and he bets, you still have no idea where you are. He could be betting just because you checked with a pair smaller than queens. If you're going to call, you might as well bet. If he raises, fold.
