straight 2, always capped =
in florida, specifically miami, the game is straight 2.. (some places deal 1/2).. the rub here is that more often than not, betting is always capped at 8 pre flop.. it becomes like "lotto poker".. few if any fold.. now i understand, if i wait for the correct starting hands, i have a better chance of making the highest hand, however, the way its played, there are many draws who stay to the end, so what was trip queens, or top two pair on the flop lose to inside straight draws and flushes.. usually, i play strong starters, we all know them, but i will play any pocket pair, any suited conectors, 76 and up connectors, and as low as Tx suited knowing in advance that the betting will be high, it becomes "worth it" to play stuff like 56o or Axs to draw for a possible hand.. is this flawed, or an accpetable adaptation to the game?? should i simply stick to the premium starters?
