Re: Party 250K Hand - QQ
Assuming blinds are 100-200?? The only way I see him calling with a 6, is if he was A-6 suited, possibly unsuited
I would not put him on a hand like AJ,AQ or AK because he probably would have re-raised you preflop... Possibly a pocket between 77 and JJ is a possibility. Which gives him the possibility of hitting a fullhouse on the turn. He could also have a very marginal hand of 89 or 109 suited, and was hoping to hit a straight/flush draw on the flop. However he probably would have folded post-flop. My analysis puts him on pocket 8's or pocket 10's. If he had pocket 9's, he would probably slow play them until the river, thinking your drawing dead. I think your ahead in the hand |

I think you make him show you a better hand here. I call down unless you have some read that tells you otherwise.

[/ QUOTE ] OK, I called the minraise, the river blanked and he pushed like I knew he would.. I obviously called, and lost. I'm surprised so few of you suggested folding to the check/minraise. That play just screams monster.. while most of us, myself included, just won't give it credit. |

Benal,
I was one of the few who suggested that it was a monster - what did he have? |

I'm just a novice, but... wild guess, your opponent had 99.

Re: Party 250K Hand - QQ
That sounds about right, Kinda stunned he raised you on the turn though. Would think he would smooth call and hope a high PP thinks he has the 9.
