Jimbo,

Have you actually brewed at home and calculated the expense? When I look at something like beermachine.com it seems as if minimum cost is 25 cents a can.

Is there some trick that you know?

Thx.

mdlm,

I suppose you will not like this answer. "It depends" on what size glass you are using.

Dunno about the states, but back in Scotland I regularly brewed beer in a big plastic tub with a 30W lightbulb underneath it. Just buy a tin of concentrate, bag of sugar and sachet of yeast. The rest is just water. Like Jimbo said - pennies - for a 750ml soda bottle full...

If you're clinical and careful, the beer can be excellent - tho' often yeasty (but I don't mind that like some folk do). There's no need to buy fancy equipment if that's what you're looking at.
