Re: AKo 5/10 Full Tough Flop Decision
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i think raising the flop is better than calling, ESPECIALLY if the sb is passive enough to check a good amount of pairs to you on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] I just didn't think raising the flop would accomplish anything. they're still getting like 10-1. in a smaller pot I agree. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly, which is the same reason capping the flop does nothing either. You still aren't going to fold out the guy behind you, you have no reason to think the SB isn't going to lead into you on the turn, or that MP checks behind when you check. |

Re: AKo 5/10 Full Tough Flop Decision
if he was plannign to fold to a raise, it's perfect. I had to put him on AA or KK when he bet the turn. by betting he doesn't let me get my free card. I don't know if he's just an idiot, or if he knew what I was up to. it worked out for him

I like the cap. I think it works as planned enough to make it the best option here.

Re: AKo 5/10 Full Tough Flop Decision
I agree excellent play on your part for sure.
What do u guys do as the other guy with 99 though? Would u do the same thing or ease up on the turn? Just curious. 99 betting into the turn, it would make the other guy think u had QQ-AA for sure, but u yourself could be up against that as well, or just AK. Anyway, chime in if u want. EDIT: I can see 99 betting the turn folding to a raise. I think this is an alright play. Or check/call turn and river with 99 if no scare cards come. I just want to see what the best aggressive (if being aggresive here is still best) play is here with 99. As if you are against AK-AQ here u want to make him pay for it and possibly fold. |
