Anybody here smoke

For those of you who smoke (cigarrettes) do you tend to smoke more when playing poker? Do you smoke at the computer or do you take smoke breaks outside? Does a bad beat make you wanna light one up? How often do you smoke a cig when playing?

Just wondering if my habits are that unusual thanks

A big win makes me want to go outside and smoke. A bad beat doesn't phase me at all anymore. It's gotten to the point where I've seen everything.

I don't smoke in my house so i just usually wait until it's a good time to take a break. Altough i do snuff a lot when i play mmm mmm skoal.

i'm trying to only smoke every 500 hands or so (every 1.5 hrs i guess). today was every 400 hands, or a little over an hour, but that is because today was a poker rollercoaster of doom (actually, not that bad, but i was up a lot within the first 5 hrs and ended up posting a losing session after 8)

unless i'm drinking, i historically have never smoked more than 1 cig per hour, never more than a pack a day.

i don't smoke inside, 'cause my wife doesn't smoke, and i started playing poker AFTER i began living in smoke-free environments. i consider that a blessing, 'cause i KNOW that if i were smoking inside, poker would have me up to 3 packs a day lol... not due to bad beats, but just for something else to be doing. instead, i drink ludicrous amounts of coffee.

i gotta quit this gay-ass habit... maybe tomorrow [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I smoked for 18 years but I didn't usually run out for a smoke after bad beats. Maybe cause I mainly played SNG's still then. Now I've been eating nicorette gum and microtabs for almost 2 years and play ring. When I lose a big pot I always flick a microtab under my tongue. When I'm down a few buyins and chasing my losses I "chain-eat" nicorettes. [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

But when I drink I smoke. If I play poker drunk I smoke every half hour win or lose.

I actually just started to quit smoking on Wednesday. I tried the patch, but it backfired on me. I needed to have one everyday, and when I started step 3 I wasnt getting enough nicotine at all and had bad withdrawals.

Now Im just going to try to cold turkey, the really hard part is facing the withdrawals..

When I got pissed playing poker, however, I always would step outside and light one up. It was a much better poker playing day since I didnt take a break and step outside every hour to get a cigarrette.
