Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
No real reads - except UTG+1 seems loose and aggro and has shown down some weak hands.

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
I push, but I suck. He doesn't have you beat here, and is very likely to call in my opinion unless he is on a complete steal.

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
I push, I think UTG+1 is much more likely to have AQ, QJ, or be on a semi-bluff with KT or 9T then to have QQ or JJ. I think that a loose Aggro would reraise both those hands preflop when facing a min-raise.
Also, UTG+1 is short stacked with with only about 65BB before the flop. |

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
Depends whether you know utg well enough to tell if he open-limps or open-raises with QQ and JJ, and whether he would reraise. Without having proper experience, I say he would (re)raise, so put him allin with his QJ and letīs see him miss those 4 outs. Maybe also only min-raise to 300.

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
I think your hand is good. With the number of callers by the time it had got back to him, a lot of people would reraise with queens, possibly even jacks to thin the field. I'd probably flat call here. If he has A-Q you may scare him off with the reraise, so just let him keep firing. If he ends up showing you trip Jacks then I think that is unlucky, there is enough chance of A-Q and Q-J for me to play this hand in the way I believe gives me the best chance of stacking him off.

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
push back at him..
he didnt raise preflop so i doubt he has qq or jj. he limped and was able to call a raise with his hand so i'd figure him on qjs. thats a likely hand to check raise on a flop like that. i def think u have him beat |

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
The difficulty here is that your hand is somewhat more defined than his is at this point. He could be playing QJ, he could be one of those people who try and provoke a reraise by min raising with AA or KK, or he could have min raised with a drawing hand like 10-9. If you push, he might very well be able to put you on the set and he might be able to get away from a hand like KQ so I prefer a flat call here.
I think you have to risk the possibility that he's over playing a draw like K-10s or 10-9 and flat call. Bet 115-120 on the turn regardless of what comes to get him further committed, he's too short stacked to give up on the hand or for you to concern yourself with set over set possibilities. |

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
I say push for the reasons already stated. QQ/JJ probably either raises upfront or backraises with all the dead money in preflop. Plus he doesn't have enough behind for you to smooth call and get away from the hand later on.

Re: Party 600NL - Bottom set - heavy action
I also push or reraise here (which is almost the same, since he has already put in half his stack here). I dont think he has QQ or JJ for the same reasons as others have already pointed out, and I certainly dont want to give any free cards if he got QJ or KT

RESULTS
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the two other players yet to act behind me.
When Villain checkraised I put him on QJ - but KT and T9 were possible in my mind. Since he was relatively short, I didn't want to just call and: 1) give the other two opponents better odds to stay in the hand and chase their straight draw (if they happened to be on one) 2) be put in a tough spot if an A, Q, J, or 9 fell on the turn. I figured the pot would be big enough at that point where I'd have a hard time folding to an all-in by Villian anyway so I just pushed. What bothered me after the hand is that checkraising 3 people on that board shows a lot of aggression - even for Villain.
