What does a min check raise mean?
I was min checkraised last night, and then the guy immediately went all in on the turn ~$120 into ~$150 pot. Am I correct in thinking that the min checkraise usually means a very strong hand? A min raise is a totally different animal, but with the checkraise they have to lead out into you on the next street.
I'd like to know what everyone thinks, based on past experiences. |

Re: What does a min check raise mean?
A min raise does usually mean a monster hand that wants to get played back at. However very good and tricky opponents occasionally do this as a way to to set up a turn bluff with a drawing hand when they don't make it on the turn. Alternately, I have also seen players do this with TPTK and then set themselves in on the turn when a draw that was present on the flop didn't hit. One thing is for sure given the stack sizes - he wasn't folding to a reraise allin.
