#'s from pokerpulse. I know alot of companies who would love to have a yearly growth as high as online poker's monthly growth.
# of online players and month over month growth. September 2004/ 1,235,000/ 10.3% October 2004/ 1,344,000/ 10.2% November 2004/ 1,437,000/ 7.1% December 2004/ 1,622,000/ 11.3% January 2005/ 1,784,000/ 9.9% |

Neat. I've been looking for these numbers. Any chance someone has these numbers for the rest of 2004 and 2003?

Wow, those are some big numbers. Out of curiousity does anyone have what they feel is a good guess to who all these new people signing up are? Specifically do you think there more college aged kids signing up or middle aged men if you had to guess? Obviously many of both, but which one is higher?

I see more bad players than ever, both multitablers and recreational players.

Active players are defined as real money players who have made a balance movement on their account in the current or preceding two quarters.
Pokerpulse then takes the amount of players at Paradise and applies a multiplier based on a percentage of active online players in the online community. |

I don't know if someone who played 10 hands some 5 months ago should really be considered an 'active' player.

The important thing Bob is it is comparing apples to apples. They are counting the same way and the important thing isn't the #, but probably rate of growth.

Most sites don't let you 8-table, and attributing monthly growth of 10% to the tiny percentage of people who can: a) successfully set up a second account on another skin b) play > 4 tables, and do is rediculous. |
