Folding the turn would be terrible. [/ QUOTE ] How's the river call? Does he hold AQ/AJ/KQ at least once in 11 here? |

He didn't cap pre-flop. Hero 3-bet, villian called. [/ QUOTE ] that's what i thought....is villian good enough to pull deceptive plays like that? |

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
Tough to say. Big problem on the turn is planning on calling two bets instead of one changes the problem a lot. That doesn't mean every decision isn't independent.
The club on the river just gave him a winner in some the hands he was losing, but the betting pattern in this hand is fishy enough that I'd call the river too. I'd be expecting to lose to 99-JJ or clubs. This guy's pretty aggressive postflop, he earned the payoff. -Michael |

[/ QUOTE ] But villan was the original raiser pre-flop, that's what i'm talking about... had he had QQ-AA, he probably would have capped it though... I still don't think you can put him on much worse than AK. |

I think someone with a 2.66 aggression has worse 1 in 10. that's why I call him down. Against an unknown I probably fold the river. |

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
I play it exactly the same. I can't see folding the turn getting 8.5-1, and I can't see folding the river either. Calling the river is better than folding in my opinion.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
I call to the river and fold the river. I don't expect to win, nor chop this enough to merit a call whether or not the river was a club. The players stats you're up against make this a closer decision, but I still don't call the end.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
He's an 8% raisor. He would raise 99 with absolute certainty and probably 88-77 as well.

Re: Calling down AKs unimproved
I don't see a call on the river here. The range of hands you have to put the Villian (TAG) on after the flop raise would be: 77-AA, AK, or two clubs. Would Villain really raise the flop with AQ after you 3-bet preflop? Only if it was AQ of clubs IMO. When the club hits the river, I think this is a fold. But I'm new to the Forum and SSH, so I could be wrong.
