You should definitely raise Hand 1 preflop and stay aggressive especially with the flop you got. 2nd hand I would raise preflop as well and bet out on the flop. Given that you didnt I still bet out and try to take it right there.

You should really have raised preflop. I would also have bet out on turn. After he checked on the turn you figure he might have been semibluffing with the flush draw on the flop. Given all that I would bet out the river. What did he have in the end?
