Phoenix Area Cardrooms
I'll be in Phoenix in a couple weeks and hope to get a chance to play while I'm in town.
Would love to hear from anyone that knows the area and different rooms - it looks like Casino Arizona is the closest to where I'll be. Thanks! |

Re: Phoenix Area Cardrooms
Casino AZ is the best, most games, most limits. Only place I and pretty much the rest of Phoenix play. Fort Mcdowell has smaller buy in tournys and lower limit games with usually big jackpots. Haven't been to either Gila River in awhile, last time I was at Vee Quiva they had one 3-6 holdem game going. Stick with Casino AZ.

Casino AZ has anything you want, and looks to be the closest.

Re: Phoenix Area Cardrooms
What's the difference between the two Casino Arizona locations? Do they spread the same games, same crowd? I'm going to be in Scottsdale for a week in March and will spend some quality time there.

Re: Phoenix Area Cardrooms
I play at CA. Felicia Lee hates it here. She is all about the Fort, she belives it is better run. I haven't experianced the Fort yet, and I'm used to poorly run rooms (I live in NYC) so that doesn't bother me as much as it bothers her.
I will be at CA every night from Feb 16 - 21st. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

That would make it an easy decision.

Re: Phoenix Area Cardrooms
It may be a bit further drive (30 mins?) but Gila River is sooooo fishy. It's easy money.

Re: Phoenix Area Cardrooms
Played 10-20 there on a Sunday night late about two weeks ago. Couple sharp players, overall pretty loose preflop (4-5 callers not uncommon, didn't see many raised pots pre-flop). Gorgeous room. The locals at the 10-20 were quite surly, however. 3-6 while I was waiting for the 10-20 seat was pretty typical, and friendlier.
