Re: are these folds I should be making?
I don't think so. There are a large range of hands you are ahead of. I like the call-down line.
I think it's a dubious preflop call tho. |

HU with 2 pair, wtf? [/ QUOTE ] what do you put him on that I am ahead of after I checkraise him and he 3 bets. Im no LAG and generally only show down quality hands, so hes gotta assume I have something |

Re: are these folds I should be making?
Or that he can make you fold or that he can fold to a cap for sure and you will give him a free showdown.
He can do this with tons of hands, Ax being one. You will get abused if you make these folds, which is much worse than loosing a BB or whatever when behind, since they can start playing very aggro against you when they have nothing and thus move you off some pots that you should win. |

[/ QUOTE ] good point, I handt considered the long term ramifications if I started making these folds often, but since I rarely if ever make these folds I figured this would be a good one to make as I just didnt see myself being ahead. |

Folding isnt the way to win heads up, aggression is and certainly if your opponents considers folding here.

fold preflop
with no read, i would fold preflop.
"typical" party player limps Ax, but does not raise it. you're ahead of KQ/KJs/A8s. 50/50 to 77/88, and a huge dog to 99+, AT+. Also, being out of position makes this much more difficult to play. -DrG |
