Multitabling Interpoker (Crypto) slowness
I can't seem to pin this down but about 75% of the time when I try two-tables here one table slows slightly while the other cralls along at such a slow rate it becomes nearly unplayable. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm using a Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop (1200MHz P3 ~384 M RAM). When this happens you can see the "poker.exe" (crypto's client) is taking up 90-100% of CPU resources. |

Re: Multitabling Interpoker (Crypto) slowness
Yes. This is some kind of bug in their software. For me it usually happens when I open 4th or 5th table and then drag any of table windows. I have 512MB of RAM (of which only ~280-300 used by poker application to that moment) and P4 2.2GHz.
3 tables work fine 99% of time, 4 tables go to this "lag" mode >50% of time for me. I also run PokerTracker and GT+ but both with intentionally decreased processes priority and w/o 'include my stats'. |

Re: Multitabling Interpoker (Crypto) slowness
I am okay with 4 tables. The problem I run into is when PT is importing hands, a lot of the time it wants to re import all the hands again. If PT is working properly 4 tables is okay 75%. If PT is doing its reimporting thing it is a giant cluster f***.

[/ QUOTE ] I think Crypto app is guilty here (not PT) because if Crypto takes 100% CPU resources then PT is unable to do anything at least reasonably quick. Worst thing is that lag starts not just because I open 4th table - it may happen and it also may work fine. I wrote to them about this bug in last quiz but seems nothing changed in last upgrade. I am nearly sure adding more memory is not an option here - I usually see only half of 512MB allocated/used during this problem. CPU model seems has more effect because I can open 4-5 tables with P4 2.2 and never get the problem with 3 tables, while slower CPU's allow opening only 2-3 and not always. However it may be right to also set PT auto-import time to 3 or more minutes. |

Re: Multitabling Interpoker (Crypto) slowness
I have it set for every ten minutes. When I am two tabling at a 6-max limit game, I get between 16 and 22 hands imported.

If you switch off the chip and card animation the software speeds up a bit. Helped me anyway...

Re: Multitabling Interpoker (Crypto) slowness
Happens to me as well. This helps for me (Windows 2000 pro):
Kill poker.exe from the taskmanager (you can't end the program nicely since you won't keep your seat(s)). Log out, log in and start software again. I must do this every 2 hours or so (I usually play 4 tables). |
