Bad Advice
With the recent EXPLOSION in online poker,
Ive noticed the quality of responses to strategic questions has noticeably deterioted to the point where some of the answers are at best horrible. (particulary in the mid-high limit section) The players posing the questions have no business playing anything higher than 2/4, and some of the players answering i wouldnt stake in the 1/2. But I sure as hell am not complaining. On the other hand, if your new to this board, and don't know the names of the more respected posters, be careful of some of the advice on here. |

Re: Bad Advice
Can you provide some examples of these threads since I'm too lazy to search them out for myself?

Re: Bad Advice
Well, you dont have to search much these days..
But just skimming like 3 posts, there was one which I replied to about how you should fold AK headsup on the river (if you didnt on the turn) on a A922X rainbow board. Another poster didnt understand why he should fold K2suited preflop for a raise 4 handed when your on the button. The other post was borderline, so ill let that one slide. It kind of lame giving examples, when all you have to do is start reading the Mid limit section to know what Im talking about. Compared to the old days it reads like a section for beginners. |

Re: Bad Advice
Just a thought,
If the mid-limit games have deteriorated so much, maybe beginner advice is appropriate for them. You certainly would play differently in a $.50-1.00 game then you would in a $15-30, maybe the $3-6 games are starting to play more like the $1-2 games of old. In which case, less advanced advice might be appropriate. Sincerely, Your typical WPT fan/Partypoker low limit player |
