How do you play Top Two against this?
No information at the table, or on any players yet.. still in the first orbit. Hero has ~ $1500 and Villian has ~$2000, everyone else has effective stacks of ~ $2000
Villian Posts SB of $10 Hero Posts BB of $20 3 callers up to SB who completes... Hero Checks in BB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] flop (100) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets $100, Hero calls $100, everyone else behind folds turn (300) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets $300, Hero pushes ~$1380 Do you like the line? how often do you expect 67 or a set? |

Re: How do you play Top Two against this?
You're up against 58, 59, another 89, 67, or a set.
I'd just call down as played, but raise the friggin' flop! I'm assuming you lost to 67, though. |

turn (300) 4 SB bets $300, Hero pushes ~$1380 [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] how often do you expect 67 or a set? [/ QUOTE ] most of the time that I'm called. He could put you on a pair with turned heart draw though so that might skew his calling range somewhat. |

Re: How do you play Top Two against this?
I think you have to re-raise this flop.
I think you lucked out with a 4 hitting. There are a ton of scare cards (5, 6, 7, 10 or even J) that are going almost make you fold this hand. Other than not re-raising the flop, I like your play. How'd it turn out for ya? |

Other than not re-raising the flop, I like your play. [/ QUOTE ] This advice is awful. Any solid player is only calling with a hand that beats you. And with this much strength on the turn, he's probably beating you. It's an unraised pot, no reason to go broke here when 67 is a very likely holding. If this pot were raised preflop, it's a different story, but it wasn't. Just call the turn as played. |

if i call that on the turn, chances are if he has sucha strong hand he will bet huge on river. If it blanks, i call that too?.. is him having A9 not a possibility

A9 is a possibility of course, but he won't call your all-in on the turn. Think about it... If it were you, and you bet 300 on the turn and another player went all in for 1000 more, what would you be able to call with? I think you would need at least a set in an unraised pot like this. He's only calling your all-in with a hand that beats you, so there is no reason to push. If he's losing, let him keep betting. If he's winning, get away cheap, or complete your full house and take his stack. |

Re: How do you play Top Two against this?
How is the advice so awful?
Most of the deck could be considered a scare card. I'm advocating his move to take down the pot right here. |
