Poll: When do you feel compelled to call with any two?
Poll: When do you feel compelled to call with any two?
Scenario: You are in the BB (400/800 blinds) and have been dealt 72o. UTG raises and has you covered. There is no possibility that you can fold and slide into the money. What is the highest chip count you can have (after posting) where you would feel compelled to call with your 72o? For example, let’s say you would call if you had only 400 chips left (after posting), you would call if you had only 800 chips left (after posting), but you would fold if you had 1200 chips left. Then you would vote for 800 chips. I have included two polls. One in which there is no ante, and one in which there is an ante of 50 chips. Here is the hand: PokerStars Game #3091655800: Tournament #15015568, Hold'em No Limit - Level X (400/800) - 2005/11/18 - 14:29:23 (ET) Table '15015568 23' Seat #3 is the button Seat 1: padillao (7792 in chips) Seat 2: GoodGuyDoll (12643 in chips) Seat 3: VAMAN14 (8791 in chips) Seat 4: leoslions (6630 in chips) Seat 5: jcm4ccc (???? in chips) Seat 6: winemo (20857 in chips) Seat 7: damon (20000 in chips) Seat 8: jonmontag (7917 in chips) Seat 9: dapaver (21830 in chips) leoslions: posts small blind 400 jcm4ccc: posts big blind 800 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to jcm4ccc 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] winemo: bets 4000 chips damon: folds jonmontag: folds dapaver: folds padillao: folds GoodGuyDoll: folds VAMAN14: folds leoslions: folds jcm4ccc: ???? |

I can't see how anything above 400 would be a correct answer.

I can't see how anything above 400 would be a correct answer. [/ QUOTE ] With t800 behind, you're getting 3.5:1 to call. 27o vs. top 10% is ~3:1 dog. |
