Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Hero (t2420) BB (t2890) UTG (t2325) Button (t2365) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG raises to t500, 1 fold, Hero ? Final Pot: t800 After a brief hiatus to rebuild and learn how to 8-table, I'm back 6-tabling the 109's, biatch. 8-tabling soon to follow. I won't say who the villain is because I haven't asked him if I can post about this hand, but he is a very good 2+2er. He's been playing just about how a good player would be in terms of frequency of raises, etc. I probably have a very aggressive image right now as I've been presented with some very good stealing opportunities, so I've been doing it alot. I think I just recently folded to a push after raising the bb from the sb. So not a terrible amount of respect, but villain's not going to be making crazy calls. Wow, a read for once! |

My default play here is to fold. Raising allin is my second choice and calling is definitely out of the question.
The more I think about it the more I like the fold. It's either fold or commit your 12BB stack with A9 and something about that just doesn't sit right. |

If you're willing to risk your stack on A9o then more power to you. I don't think it's a strong enough hand against my notion of a "normal" raise here(though I'm not playing anywhere near 109's so...). And I don't think you really gain enough here to risk being called by villian. I think you can find a better spot with a slightly better hand to attempt this kind of steal, especially if you have a slightly "crazy" image.

1) Dope thread title.
2) I think I like folding here best. |

Everyone seems to disagree with me, but I push. Villain's got a very wide range and has to fold a lot of hands here.

is this a good spot for a stop n go? why/why not? [/ QUOTE ] This isn't a clear stop n go, IMHO, because he has plenty of fold equity preflop (maybe more than he has postflop, in other words). Stop n go still may be right though. |
