Default Hand reading skills

Sometimes you watch hands, where you really wonder what your opponent are holding.
What would you put villains on in this hand? I have a note on SB, he raised 8xBB UTG+1 and min-raised the next hand UTG.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter

BB ($42.85)
Hero ($25.40)
MP ($29.79)
Button ($17.78)
SB ($54.55)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
2 folds, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) raises to $3.9, BB calls $3.75, Button folds.

Flop: ($8.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $1, BB raises to $4, SB raises to $7, BB calls $3.

Turn: ($22.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, BB checks.

River: ($22.25) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, BB bets $12, SB raises to $25, BB folds.

Final Pot: $59.25

My thoughts: 16xBB raise in SB seems extremely aggressive with a premium hand, after one limper. I think AA, KK & QQ are unlikely.

Flop: SB bets small, after having raised PF. Either this is a strong hand, or a fishy bet. BB rereaises - trying to steal the pot? My guess here is small overpair for BB - 99 or TT.

Turn: SB checks? After having reraised the turn, he checks? Was it a poor bluff? BB's check pretty much rules out TT from his hand. A weak 7?

River: SB checks again. BB makes a big bet - could be 99. SB almost min-check-raises?? A 9? What nines could he have, that he played the flop like this? 99? BB folds with incredible pot odds - almost 5:1?! A pure river bluff from him?

I'd really like to know the hands and the thoughts of the players in this hand - what would you guess they were holding?

I'm positive SB has 99. BB's play is bizarre, I would guess some kind of 8 but really anything is possible.

SB has AA.
BB has probably 99, maybe JJ.

AK/AQ/AJ is a likelier holding for BB than AA-JJ. given how the previous streets were played, i don't think AA-JJ folds that river bet.

Perhaps. I think BB might have AK here, could be a donk way to play it.

I don't think SB would check-raise river with either of these hands. He took the lead again on the flop, and can't count on a bet on the river.

haha, oops. JJ it is. I don't think he gets away from KK or AA and probably not QQ either if he's typical.

BB has less than a pair and less than A high
SB has a pp over 55 but not 99

edit: I guess BB could have a pp under 66.
