Massive Flop Equity
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (6 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero ??? The flop is almost perfect for me here, and I want to get as many bets in as possible, but the bet has come from the worst possible position. Do I call, planning to raise the turn, or raise, and potentially knock lots of willing donators out? |

Re: Massive Flop Equity
call, planning to decide what to do on the turn when the turn comes.
edit: or raise, because it doesn't really matter, as long as you understand what's going on. and yes, beer. |

Re: Massive Flop Equity
I like a raise. Our equity is great even HU and we probably get a few callers + a free card sometimes. A call would also be ok if you think you're more than twice as likely to get overcallers than coldcallers.

Re: Massive Flop Equity
call. you're not clearing outs for your J by raising.

Re: Massive Flop Equity
Call. You want as many people in when you make your hand.
Raising - your only trying to clear A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]or K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (in case you spike your flush on the turn)- not worth trying, considering the potential for loss of revenue and that it wont work (The naked A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] has BDSD,OC and BDFD). With that much equity, do what ever you can to get as many bets in the middle as possible. Whatever that means. In this case - call. |

Re: Massive Flop Equity
Just flat call here, you have a monsterdraw and don't really want anyone out here, since you will improve to a really strong hand that doesn't need to be protected.
The pot is still small, build it. |

Re: Massive Flop Equity
Call.
Each player that you lose on the flop will reduce the size of your pot equity edge. |
