TPTK paired board, horrible opponent
I have opponent covered. He is horrible, very loose, pretty aggressive. Saw him go all in with top pair no kicker. Normally I'd just let him bluff but I think he'd call here with a weak pocket pair or may be even ace high vs a turn raise. Should I be betting this river? What if I think he has total crap most of the time?

Re: TPTK paired board, horrible opponent
I lean towards betting. If he has a 3, he's not going to check the river. Nor is he going to make those 'wussy' bets.

Do you just bet 1/2 - 2/3 of pot based on read? What about going all in?

Re: TPTK paired board, horrible opponent
At the very least, when I think a player is very weak, I bet what I bet the last street (in this case $25.) But against a LAG or a calling station, I bet anywhere from 2/3- to the pot. (I don't go all in enough because I don't see most people calling it.)
Note: I would also raise at least one more BB. As it is, the BB is getting 2 to 1 to complete. That's just me! |
