33 and a good flop
Villian pretty loose and somewhat aggressive. He had been raising with some crap, but this looks like a pretty good flop for me. Whats my move? Comments on all streets welcomed.

Re: 33 and a good flop
Matt,
I think that you overplayed this hand way to much. I don't mind the 5$ bet on the flop, but you really have to fold to that reraise. I know you said this guy was an idiot, but even idiots pick up hands once in a while. |

Re: 33 and a good flop
Hmm. Preflop is OK. It is a good flop for you to lead into him and the flop bet is probably +EV. But fold to the raise. And if you call the raise, fold the turn.
I guess you checked to him on the turn? It's missing from the hand history. |

Re: 33 and a good flop
Does anybody else not like calling 8x BB raise OOP with 33 (especially HU). I just feel like you are not going to win enough pots to make this +EV. I'm not well versed in 6 max though. I think you can find better spots...
Thoughts?? Given the situation flop bet is fine, but got to fold to reraise. What is he rerasing with that you have beat? What do have villains range as?? |

Re: 33 and a good flop
preflop call is ok, but this is not a good flop for you. A good flop is any flop with a 3, or 245.
Fold to his raise. He has an 8 or a 9 or a pocket pair, you only beat 22. You have to fold this. Welcome to the forums |

I think you can find better spots... [/ QUOTE ] The preflop call is fine as long as we don't continue post flop without a set or a nice draw. Holding a set in a 6max game is one of the best spots we can be in. Our enemy is loose and aggressive we only need to make $16 post flop to make a $2 call fine. If we can't get 7:1 implied odds or our enemy is too tight, then folding is best. Position is not as much of a concern if we are only looking to flop a monster. People love to go broke with one pair. Unfortunately, the poster in this hand seems to be showing this principle off. |
