Stick to Sit-N-Gos. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks for the quick and blunt advice. Care to comment on any streets? I'm too determined to round out my game to let anyone constructivly criticise me away from here. |

Here's a plan. If you can't think of good advice, don't give any.

Re: SnGer testing the NL waters. 600 NL Hand.
If you're the first one to enter the pot, you should ALWAYS come in with a raise. You need to show strength. With suited connectors, you actually want to be in better position than you were to get the odds to justify playing the hand, but, if you're going to play it the way you're playing it, come in raising, give the BB a chance to reraise, then you can decide if you want to continue with your hand. Best case is that you buy the button and can take advantage of position throughout the hand. Limping in does not help you get information as to where you hands stands in comparison with the other hands at the table.

Any reads on him? If not I just call down with that draw or if the flop raise doesn't work check the turn. You probly have 0 fold equity here if he has a set. And very little if he has an overpair.

Raise preflop. Bet/Raise Flop. Check turn.

[/ QUOTE ] No reads. I understand the PF raise and turn check now. I agree that they would have been the best moves, too. I almost always come in raising preflop so I'm not quite so sure what my motives were in this particular hand. |
