How do you play this flop multiway
Table had been fairly tight for a 10. Earlier I raised 3.5X with KK in similar situation and got no callers. Here I obviously want a call or 2 (not 4). On the flop I want 10 10, ect. to come along but I also didnt mind just taking down what was already in the pot. Did I overplay this on the flop?

Re: How do you play this flop multiway
Lately, I've been letting others take the lead and part with their chips willingly.
This might be a wrong tack to take, but unless I see an obvious scare draw on the board, I'm not assuming he has a set. The only other consideration for me here is that he is in the SB and might have a wider ranger of hands he was willing to call with. Raise his 100, but not necessarily all in. Am I wrong on this? I don't want to leave chips on the table in a situation like this. |

"ryan1131: Raise (650)"
and leave 230 behind? If hes calling 650 hes calling 880. |

i'd make it 320 and push most turns [/ QUOTE ] I guess I was worried that the board would pair, over paranoid. Once my pf raise was called by just about everyone I was terrified of getting outdrawn and wanted the hand over quickly. |

Even with aces, I wouldn't recommend facing more than 2 other people. |

I had KK about 1 orbit earlier and raised 3.5X and everyone folded so thats why I dropped it down to 3X. It was still relatively early and I didnt yet have a good enough read on the table to find the perfect bet size that I knew would get called by 1 or 2 and only 1 or 2...hope that makes sense. |

Re: How do you play this flop multiway
Camo - Your raise PF brought 4 callers to sweeten the pot for you in this situation (just what you wanted).
Since you saw a bet of 100 on the flop, your raise was about right IMHO. If you just min-raise or put in 250 or so in hopes of attracting a couple of callers, you'll be kicking yourself when one (or more) of them trip up on the turn. The old adage that AA is good for winning small pots and losing big ones apply here since it is Level 2 in an $11 SNG. What would be your line if you min-raised the $100 bet, got a couple of callers that see a 9 on the turn and they go all-in??? Take the pot now (like you did), earn a little respect early in the tourney (like you did) and be happy to have ~500 more in your stack this early in an $11. Good luck! SlackerMcNoobGotnoGame |
