Default jk \'mixes it up\' pf in 6-max.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

MP ($44.75)
CO ($53.65)
Hero ($53.20)
SB ($59.60)
BB ($48)
UTG ($78.75)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, MP calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets $2, BB calls $2, MP folds, CO raises to $5, Hero raises to $10...

Spare me the 'Fold pre-flop'.

Do people usually drop this?

I thought about folding, but then decided against it, I think the 3-bet here is needed to find out where I am, CO is a fish.

I don't have a problem with your play. Now if another spade comes up on the turn you'll need to put the brakes on. I think your bet here will get a call from a flush draw and if he misses you can bet again and walk away with his flop bet.

The flop min-reraise is awful. You are laying SB/CO 2.5-to-1 which is almost the right price to draw. The board is heavily coordinated and your bottom-2 has a chance to be counterfeited.

I would make it 20 and hope to take it down there.

I agree: raise more and price him into a bad call which he will most likely make.

It is not a min-raise, but its close. The reason I made a puny raise is because it does the job lof giving SB and BB incorrect odd's to draw while finding out how strong CO's hand is.

He could be doing this with TPTK / TPGK.

If players are bad and will pay me off when I hit, I'll play this all day on the button for a limp.

I'd raise to 15 on the flop...if the CO calls your raise with a flush draw or Ax I want him to be making a mistake. A naked ace will have a lot of outs against your hand after the turn. And you can still get away if someone pushes and you believe them.

I make it $16 on the flop and exercise extreme caution if he is still in on the turn.

They all folded, just wanted to see if a raise was needed.
