i rarely do this when im not paying attention when playing live, but i do it, so im curious.
lets say its heads up on the river against a tight player. is it OK if i ask the table/dealer if he raised preflop? obviously i should have been paying attention and all that stuff, but is this bad form? am i a douchebag? |

Re: Is this bad form?
It's not really bad form...it's moot. At least at Commerce, it is against the rules for the dealer to give any preflop information once the flop is dealt. Of course, that doesn't mean that the dealer will keep his/her mouth shut.
And if the dealer replies, the information may not even be correct! I don't mean to imply that the dealer would lie to you, but they're likely to simply be mistaken. After all, if you can't remember who raised, why should the dealer? Don't you have more at stake? |

[/ QUOTE ] No. You just look like you're not paying attention and all that stuff. Makes more observant players wonder what else you miss. b |

Re: Is this bad form?
I did that just last night and asked the dealer who raised preflop. The dealer replied, "You did."

Re: Is this bad form?
After a betting round is over, and it's the next round, the dealer should NOT tell you who raised preflop, or anything else about the action. That's up to you to remember, not the dealer to repeat. Same with the size of the pot, they shouldn't tell you, even if asked, unless it's a pot limit game.

Re: Is this bad form?
Capone is correct on all matters and I back him 100% on his response.
