two pair from the SB
2/4 6 max, button seems a little fishy Button (300) limps, I (500) complete with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], BB checks. flop (16) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I lead for 15, button calls. turn (45) 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, button bets 20, I raise to 90, button calls. Good so far? What should my river plan be? |

Anyone else care to comment? |

Re: two pair from the SB
looks fine to me.
I usually just lead the turn too. I don't want to give them a free card when I think I'm ahead. I also make a blocker bet on the river. (or check and call a reasonable bet) Though if another Jack fell. I would check fold. If he's truly a fish, he could have a better 2 pair then you. And a set's a real possibility. If he's an uberfish, he has 5-8. |

Re: two pair from the SB
My standard line is to lead out for full pot on the turn and check call on the river. I like to throw in a turn check raise about 25% of the time after an opponent calls on an essentially drawless flop. Showing that you aren't afraid to check raise the turn can get you some free rivers after leading out with a draw.
I don't think a better two pair or set is possible at this point as I think my opponent would probably just shove the rest in on the turn. His turn bet didn't exactly scream strength either. |
