What to Raise on this Flop
I stopped investing in poker books and bought a new luckbox and found myself in the situation below. How do I maximize for value, I wanted to push to force out flush draws, but 800 chips into a 75 chip pot...seemed like a less than optimal move. Should I think more like 150, or was my pot-sized-ish raise ok? Converter misses it, but SB leads again on the turn for 65 and I push, get 2 callers. The guy who shrewdly slow-played AA was pissed .

Re: What to Raise on this Flop
You don't want to force flush draws out necessarily (by pushing on the flop), just make it a mistake for them to call. 80 is a pretty good-sized raise. Anywhere from 80-125 is reasonable. If you plan on pushing the turn assuming a blank, the closer to 125 the better, I think. With a bigger pot on the turn, players with a paired ace or the flush draw are less likely to fold.
