Eurobet players, which of the BJ variants is the least -EV?
I like to trim the last digit of my nightly winnings and have some fun at the BJ tables. They have four BJ variants, which of these are the best to play:
American BJ -Dealer must draw on 16 -Must stand on 17 -Double down on any two -Down down after splits -No resplits European -Must draw on 16 -Stand on 17 -Double down on 9, 10 and 11 -DD on splits -no resplits Surrender is an option, pays 1:2 Lucky 7 -draw on 16 -stand on 17 -DD any two -DD on splits -no resplits Basically same as American, except they have these funky bonuses for 7s (or whatever) Single-Deck -Only one deck, obviously -Draw on 16 -Stand on 17 -DD on 9, 10, 11 -NO DD after splits -No resplits So which of the four is best to play? I don't know how many decks they use, but I believe I read somewhere that it was 6. So far I've been playing American and gotten very lucky. |

Re: Eurobet players, which of the BJ variants is the least -EV?
American, HA = .46%
European w/ Surrender, HA = .55% Single Deck, HA = .25% Lucky 7's is presumably better than American, but not as good as Single Deck IF the rules really are the same except they give you a bonus for 3 7's. In any event Single Deck has the lowest HA, but it's pretty crappy for Single Deck BJ (though better than almost all Multi-Deck BJs). |
