new situation for me, how did I play it?
First hand of a 22$ SNG. I kept the results to show how stupid your average 22$'er is. I think I should have checked the turn but otherwise I playe dit correctly, thoughts?

Re: new situation for me, how did I play it?
I don't know about the push on the turn. I think making about the same size bet as on the flop would be more appropriate, or as you said, a check.

Re: new situation for me, how did I play it?
Check for the free card (hopefully) on the turn.
I don't know if I like the raise on the flop because of reverse implied odds, but you certainly can't fold, and you have an overpair. Calling is fine here. Nothing horrible though. |

I feel like I make alot of "nothing horrible" mistakes in my SNG's. however my above average luck has compensated for all of them thus far.

Eh... Same.
BTW, you really need to check for the free card on the turn. Pushing is dumb against 3 opponents. |

Re: new situation for me, how did I play it?
Ok, I'm sure I'm missing something simple here since everyone likes a check or small bet on the turn. But why would you not want to protect your hand that is probably ahead right now? If you check and end up with 3 opponents seeing the river isn't there a much greater chance that the river card will pair one of them up? Why wasn't pushing and getting it hu the right play?

Re: new situation for me, how did I play it?
Well, you are against three opponents. One of them can easily have been slow playing an overpair or flopped straight, and I wouldn't be amazed at the donkeys at 20+2 checking and then calling your all-in with JT. But, you have outs, and you do want to protect your hand, so I'm not saying whether or not your push is right or wrong. Just pointing out that it's no easy push. It's also unlikely that your push will extract any more value from worse hands. Not impossible though

Without reading anyone else's response, I think you played this really poorly. The limp is ok, but I am not seeing the flop raise or the all in. If you won, good for you.

wow no flop raise? I have an overpair and 8 outs to the nuts, does anyone else disagree with the flop raise?
