Party Poker Million Dollar Seat
A seat in this tourney is $600+$40, but I won one through a multitable qualifier, and was wondering if I unregister for the tournament, would the $640 be added to my account, or does this not work? Any previous experience would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: Party Poker Million Dollar Seat
Your best move would be play it for fun, or let a friend play on your account for 200$ or whatever.

Re: Party Poker Million Dollar Seat
You must play in the tournament or else forfeit your prize. However, if you win additional Million $ Guarantee seats before the tournament goes off, you can convert those seats into cash (provided that you use your first freeroll to enter the tournament).

Re: Party Poker Million Dollar Seat
I first started playing tournaments a few weeks ago, and one of my first few was for an entry into the 350K, with top 13 getting the spot. I realized how dopey the thing was after winning a spot -- I'm much more likely to win $200 playing ring NL for the several hours it takes to complete one of these things.
I also found out that Party is a little skrewy with their rules. I had no idea there were restrictions on when you could play, but some of their big tourneys have rules that say you have to play the *next* one. I was unavailable for the next one, and only noticed their rule on their website the following week. So I thought [censored], there goes a $200 entry. The thing is, though, that when I pull up the screen four this weekend's $350K and hit "register", it *does* still show that I have a free entry. So I *think* I will be playing Sunday. Moral of the story is -- Party isn't always serious about that "next tourney" thing. |

I was able to postpone a freeroll of this type once, when THEY cancelled a $200K at the last minute, and I was unavailable the following Saturday. Even then, I had to plead with them, and they wouldn't convert it to an open freeroll--they registered me for the $200K the following Saturday. -Z |
