CSC: When you say pull the trigger, do you mean go back over the top or just call?

CSC: When you say pull the trigger, do you mean go back over the top or just call? [/ QUOTE ] I think he means push. If he has the Ten, so be it since our read says he'd just be smooth calling here. It's likely that he might be semi-bluff raising QJ, or "value" raising KQ here, trying to push you off a hand. |

Re: Stars $11 Rebuy hand
Since the only hand we're worried about giving a free card to is QJ, I think I like calling in this spot and getting allin on the turn, since we have position on him.

Re: Stars $11 Rebuy hand
Any reads on the Villian.
Can we even put Villian on something like QJs? He would limp UTG, call a raise, and re-raise? There are not many hands he can realistically call with Pre-flop because MP3 may raise again. Unless you have reads that he will make terrible PF calls. A hand such as AA or KK should be limp-raising PF when the action gets to him. ATs would be unrealistic in most cases too. So what's the read on the villian? |

Re: Stars $11 Rebuy hand
Your reraise preflop is tiny and pretty bad. Im surprised it thinned the field.
On the flop a reraise is OK, but I prefer to get it all in on the turn just so you can make sure your opponent is pot committed with worse kings and draws that he might be able to get away from if you reraise on the flop. I suppose if he was real tight or predictable you could assume a slowplayed AA or some ten or something, but in general im making him show me a better hand. -Jason |

Re: Stars $11 Rebuy hand
Raise 1200-1400 more preflop for sure instead of 800. Your 3x raise does not account for the two limpers.
On the flop, I flatcall the raise and call down/check behind the rest of the hand. |

Re: Stars $11 Rebuy hand
I hate pushing the flop there. Why not just call and let him committ himself on the turn? What are you trying to accomplish with your raise that you can't accomplish on the turn?
As a side note, how in the world can our opponent have a ten? Does he call the raise (not closing the action with a minraiser and a few limpers still left to act behind him?) preflop with AT or JTs? Does he call twice preflop with KK/AA? Not a chance (well, a small chance). He's almost certainly drawing thin here, and he seems to want to give away his chips, so I'm not going to let him off the hook by pushing this flop. |
