Re: $55s - Bizarre AK Hand
Would he be making a huge overbet with anything that beats you here? I think a draw is likely and would call.

Re: $55s - Bizarre AK Hand
Flush draw is unlikely, I have the flush ace, and he raised PF. KQs is a possibility, but I'm coin flipping against that. Note I'm behind KJs.
If he has a straight draw, its a gutshot. QJ flopped the straight. |

Re: $55s - Bizarre AK Hand
May be laying down the best hand, but it's too early to take a coin flip. What would he raise with from that position that you are way ahead of here? Behind 99, tt, KK, AA. Ahead of 88 (would he even raise 88 here?) JJ or QQ. Split with KA. If he raised JQ or something like that from this position, he'll bust himself out anyway, so he's just holding your 55 chips. Dump it.

Re: $55s - Bizarre AK Hand
I think that you are going to get so many strange hands shown down here that you are ahead of that you can't lay this down

Re: $55s - Bizarre AK Hand
Folding here is silly. You are ahead most of the time against average 55 sng players. If he has you beat/outdraws you then just start another tournament up.
But I feel you are usually ahead here, and then you get to play the tournament with a big stack which gives you a great chance to money right off the bat. |
