Yes and no. I'd call the turn too.

I would call the turn too, but I think it is pretty close, especially not closing the action.

[blind response]
you should have raised pre-flop, although i admit this is a raise i'm working on myself - for some reason i have a hard time doing it with AQo, no matter the position. but i'm trying to. i would have played the rest the same. |

Re: should i have raised this pre and is my flop cold call wrong
Definitely raise pre-flop. With a double gutshot and overcards (admittedly dirty) don't we have an equity edge on the flop? I'd raise this flop and call the turn.

Re: should i have raised this pre and is my flop cold call wrong
If I'm learning properly from Ed Millers books, you should raise AQo preflop in an unraised pot because it has a pot equity advantage and when you raise preflop with a pot equity advantage your making money. Outcome of the hand is irrelevent.

Grunching
Definite preflop raise. Then bet out the flop. Given the way its played, I would call, I give you 8.5 outs for two overcards (1.5 outs each), a bdfd (1.5 outs), gutshot draw (4 outs), 6.5:1 on a 3:1 draw, folding turn UI. |
