AK suited, in the BB.
Online $30 tournament.
We are at 35 players, the last twenty get paid. The blinds are T200/T400 with T50 ante. I have T3500 which is a below average stack, and I am currently in about 25th position. MP, who is playing loose aggressively, entering about 3 pots a lap, and frequently coldcalling to get into the hands opens for T1000. The SB, who is also fairly loose, calls. The SB has a stack just smaller than mine, and EP, has me covered, but without a big margin. If I push, I don't think that I will win the pot preflop, because it is unlikely that both loose players will fold. In this situation, is it better to call the flop bet, and preserve my chips for post flop action (or another hand), or should I just push in, and hope that my hand survives. I didn't consider fold, but I don't think that that is an option. |

Re: AK suited, in the BB.
Moving in is definitely the right play. The combination of the probability of your hand being best added to the very small amount of FE you have is what makes me say so.

Def push and not mind a call.

Results.
I pushed, and both called. One had both black tens, and the second one had suited K9. My equity at that point in time was .36.
The flop was QJ5 with two in my suit, and if I had called the flop, and pushed on the flop, I probably win a smaller pot, because the tens have a hard time calling a push with two overcards. As it was, the turn and river blanked off, and I was eliminated. It just seemed to me, that against these loose players, I could do better by calling, and either pushing on the flop, or maybe check/folding and finding another hand to play later. Although I wouldn't win as big of a pot if I won, I would probably survive and have another chance to play somtime later. |

Easy push you should be looking to accumulate chips here not survive and this is a dream setup. I would actually be dissapointed if they both folded there is too good a chance you get called by a hand you are dominating.
