Books for the transition from 3/6full to 5/10-6max?
seems like a different enough environment that a different strategy may be in order?
Or should i stay in SSHE mode and eliminate early position? Thx, Dan |

Re: Books for the transition from 3/6full to 5/10-6max?
Not sure about books, but read the HUSH forums. Have a roll, and be ready for some swings. I've said it a couple of times on this forum this week, I got absolutely slaughtered in my week of 5/10 6 max. I was up about 100 BBs, then took a 230 slide. That was too much $ for me to take so I dropped down to replenish a bit. I think you should have 500BBs for this. Oh, and be aggressive. And don't let Lags get position on you. There are so many good tables that there's no need to sit at a bad one...

Re: Books for the transition from 3/6full to 5/10-6max?
I agree on the 500BB roll part.
I've tried to move up 3-4 times now and always end up at back at 3/6 when I take a 100BB hit. Its way easier to go on tilt when you lose 2-300$ to some guys with 85% VP$IP and 50% PFR. With a 300BB roll a 100BB hit feels pretty scary. Table selection is also huge! Much more so than ever before. And don't bet your overcards anywhere near as hard as I tend to or your be back at 3/6 in the blink of an eye. |

Be very aggressive, have a big bankroll.
Mostly be aggressive though :-p. HUSH is pretty good too. Also, and this is very important: Go to the recent archives and read all the posts by Ulysses (El Diablo) from the last two years from the HUSH forum. I got a hell of a lot out of that, I really reccomend it. Good luck. |

5/10 6-max is a crazy game, read the HUSH, read the archives, read all the posts of the good players, etc.
I have about 7.5k hands at 5/10 6-max at -150BB. It's very easy to tilt and spew chips, its really unlike anything I've experienced at full ring. That said, there are a lot of bad players. I can see how it is very profitable. |
