Denied Empire's Initial Deposit Bonus

I referred a friend to Empire, who opened an account yesterday and deposited $500 expecting to be entitled to a $100 (20%) bonus. Although the $25 RAF bonus is in his bonus account, the $100 bonus is not.

He has an email in to Empire but is still waiting for a reply.

Our only thought is that the $25 RAF bonus cannot be combined with the 20% initial deposit bonus. If that's the case, he'd rather return the RAF bonus and take the $100.
