I was just wondering how the Stud and Stud 8 games are at Canterbury are? I usually play the 4-8 and 6-12 hold em but would love to play stud there. Thanks

They're very soft if they have a game. It's usually only $2/4 and $3/6, though. On weekends, they sometimes get $4/8 or $6/12 games going, and those are occasionally tightish games with semi-half-decent players.

andy i played the 2/4 and 3/6 when i was up there in december... the 3/6 actually had tougher opponents than i am used to at the boats here in chicago (not to mention the low limit stud tables in vegas and reno)... there were a lot of jammed streets which i am not used to because most of the players at the boats are quite passive until they make a hand

It all depends on who shows up, of course, but it is somewhat unusual for that game to be very aggressive.
You had also asked about stud/8. There was a $4/8 game on Tuesday, and that was the first time they had had one in several months, as far as I know. It was a very good game, despite the horrific rake. |
