Why not 3-bet the flop?

Hmmm....

It's a nice pot, hard to pass up the chance to make UTG+1 & MP3 call 2 cold. I also like to feel out TPish hands with cheap flop bets so I can adjust on later streets.

I figured that if I reraised the flop I probably wouldn´t fold anyone out and making them checking to me on the Turn. which would give the gutshots out there correct odds to call...
just calling gives me the opportunity to face them with two bets and thus making it incorrect to call with gutshots and even 5 outers...

Yeah, I need to try harder to find plays like this.

Anyway, river is close because of the other guy in the pot. Heads-up I would check behind as he's representing either a busted draw or a hand strong to maximize value out of. or he could just be a git...

easy value bet. personally, I'd check because it would be so much of a hit to my ego that I'd probably just stop playing, but as far as making money goes, you should bet.

I check the river. I suspect one of three things:

1. He has a busted draw and won't call a bet.

2. He's gone to the checkraise well again.

3. He has A6 or something similar and has used up all his courage.

Sometimes you are ahead but I don't think this is a value bet.

Do you really think he's going to check-raise more than half as often as he's going to call a bet here? I don't see him check-calling with a better hand, so I don't think that's much of a consideration. It's mainly a matter of my first sentence.
