Default Intertops question

Since Intertops is a poker room/Casino/Sports book if I sign up for poker there and deposit money into my poker BR, can I use that same BR to make sports bets?

Regards,
NoTalent

poker and sportsbook bankrolls are separate.

You can transfer money from sportsbook to poker instantly... but typical cashout delays going the other way.

Thanks for the quick reply razor! What do you think of the sports book? Is it worth it or since they are separate are there better places?

I couldn't stand them. I gave up a bonus to get my money out of there. I also didn't like that they make one wait 14 days before they can cash out. What kind of crap is that? I thought their lines were pretty bad as well. They had the worst lines on both sides (at least with baseball).

14 Days is NOT correct...

It is true that it usually takes a couple days to cashout. And if you are using Neteller and cashing out of your poker account first you have to cash out to your sports book account which takes the typical 6-8 hours and then cashout to Neteller which takes a couple days...

Intertops is a decent sportsbook... their lines tend to be squareish (at least they used to be I don't bet much sports anymore) and they are trustworthy in my experience.

Other options are Olympic and Pinnacle. Both these books have sharp lines... Others in the past have said that Pinnacle always keeps their lines balanced while Olympic tends to keep the lines shaded towards what they ought to be... I'm no expert in this and I don't know if this still holds true. Both are trustworthy books.

Edit: there are obviously others good sportsbook as well but I haven't paid much attention to sports betting recently so I can't comment on other good books

I wouldn't concern myself too much with being able to play poker and bet sports at the same place... find the best place(s) for each.

It is in their rules. It says 14 days from first deposit. I didn't see it the first time i read their rules. but, it is there. at least for the sportsbook.

Olympic and Pinnacle are both very good books, but they are very sharp (especially Pinnacle). But, both are very trustworthy.

also, why should it take 3 days to get my money? After the 14 days that I waited, it took 24 hours to process the transaction and then almost 2 more days for the money to show up in neteller. they do not offer anything special enough (poker or sports wise) to make the wait worth it. When one can get their money from other sportsbooks in usually less than 24 hours.

14 days from first deposit? This is MUCH different than saying it takes 14 days to cash out.

Why does it take 3 days for a regular cash out? dunno...

Why does it take InterPoker 2 days? Pacific 5-7 days? Party & Empire only 6-8 hours? dunno those either...

They may not offer anything special to you... but I have friends who like to bet sports but they don't bet big... Intertops has minimum wager size that allows them to have the very low cost fun they are after.

As for poker, Intertops has some nice freeroll and low cost tourneys... In July I turned my poker balance of $0 into $1,000 by playing these tourneys... Intertops poker has little value to me now but it certainly did a couple months ago.

That said... there are certainly other (and probably better) options.

I haven't found a SINGLE baseball line at intertops that has been worth betting.
It's significantly worse than Pinnacle both ways.
It's to the point that I'm usually not even bothering to check the baseball lines on intertops. Perhaps this shows a lack of diligence on my part....but their baseball lines have consistently been REALLY bad.

Their football lines can occasionally be reasonable (but usually aren't that great).
I've placed a couple of bets there....but even in football I'm usually finding better lines ANYWHERE else.
I do check in on football though just in case something sticks out at me.
