Potentially huge leak, if I am understanding SSH
I realize that preflop mistakes can be overcome with good postflop play, but I think I might be hemmoraging money due to a misunderstanding I had with SSH preflop.
If there is no raise in early position, SSH reccomends playing A3s for instance. It then says against a raise only play ATs and up from early position. If I am UTG with A3s and call, then MP1 raises, am i supposed to fold this? It also says in several places that folding for a single bet once you are in is weak, but I couldn't pin down anywhere this is said except in postflop play. Thanks in advance. |

"Against a raise" means that you're facing at least 2 to you (i.e., it's been raised before the action gets to you the first time). If your hand is good enough to call 1 bet in the first place, it's worth calling 1 bet when it comes back with more money in the pot. However, a raise and 3-bet in front of you calls for some active re-evaluation.
