Re: Greatest Western of All Time - Nominations
I was just going to add that... had to click back when I noticed your post.
I also think The Gunfighter should be on there if no one has said it yet. Gregory Peck was awesome. |

[ QUOTE ]
Winchester 73. I know it's not got a snowball's chance in hell, but there has to be a James Stewart one in there somewhere. [/ QUOTE ] Actually according to imdb.com that is 17th best western... Also he is in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and How the West was Won. He also was in The Man from Laramie, but I don't know if anyone has mentioned that yet... |

Oh, and there's Destry Rides again, for the 'comedy western' category... |

Re: Greatest Western of All Time - Nominations
This one time She Wore a Yellow Ribbon was on cable and I TiVo'd it, excited about the prospect of seeing a classic John Wayne western. Thus far, my lifetime western experience had been composed entirely of popular Clint Eastwood movies.
I couldn't even get halfway through it. I was bored out of my mind and eventually deleted it from my TiVo. Which classic John Wayne western is least likely to bore me to tears? |

The Outlaw Josey Wales.
