Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?

Cash please. I like the sliding rakeback scale idea... quite motivating if it were designed appropriately. [/ QUOTE ] |

[ QUOTE ]
O'Doyle, this is an easy question. It isn't about WSOP entries or anything else. It is about 30% rakeback. Period. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. I have rakeback now, so why would I join this crew? Whatever we decide to do needs to be above and beyond whatever rakeback we normally get. |

Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?
[ QUOTE ]
Party Gaming NET margins are 58%. If the rake is $3, party nets $1.74. Your share of the rake was $.30 at a 10 handed table. 70% of that is $.21 leaving party with $1.53 net. [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't Party Gaming also include their casino and bingo site? In your scenario above, what happens when everyone at the table is getting that same 70% back?? Not very much profit then. The leftover $1.53 that Party is netting also has to be divided among the other 9 players at the table. Their profit is based on a per player calculation and not a per table method. |

Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?
[ QUOTE ]
Do you honestly think that everyone at party plays 30K hands a month? Because I think only 1% of the people do, and if 1% are getting ridiculous rakeback, then Party is still making a huge profit. [/ QUOTE ] They are making a huge profit either way, but what's their motivation for losing money on those players? |

Cash please. I like the sliding rakeback scale idea... quite motivating if it were designed appropriately. [/ QUOTE ] I think this would work very well, especially if the rake is paid every two weeks or month or something as it would give fish a reason to come back and play. "Hey I have $20 in my account. I wanna go play some poker." This could keep people coming back to play more and also allows the rakeback to be raked multiple times. |

Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?
Better rake back deals and not through an affilliate!
Ex: 30k hands or less: ordinary rake back is paid through the affilliate 30k hands or more: 50% rake back is paid directly EDIT: Sliding rake back after 30k would be even better. |

Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?
Cash. And lots of it. A deal better than my current rakeback, handled directly by the site.
I do understand that sites are willing to pay more in total costs if it includes me showing up at a few televised events in their gear. But frankly, it is so -EV for me it's silly. Show me the money! |

Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?
Rakeback is cool, but I think you would lose value by asking for cash instead of the tourney entries. If you went for an idea like Dogmeat's we could probably get more per hand whichis good.
It would also be spectacular if we could keep the rakeback we already have. |

Re: High Volume Players - What value do you want for your play?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] That depends on the site in question and their operating costs. There are many sites that would not turn a profit if they gave 70% away. [/ QUOTE ] Party Gaming NET margins are 58%. If the rake is $3, party nets $1.74. Your share of the rake was $.30 at a 10 handed table. 70% of that is $.21 leaving party with $1.53 net. The 58% net margin already includes things like paying existing affiliates/skins so the true margins for party players would be quite a bit higher most likely high enough to cover the $2.10 payout if everyone on the entire site had 70%. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe that is their "average" margin per player. However, high volume players generate a lot more rake, so the profit margin on a high volume player will be much higher. |

[ QUOTE ]
there's no way they could afford to pay me as much as it would take to move away from Party etc [/ QUOTE ] How about$12,000 to play at a Party Skin? Or are those players going to be too tough. Open your minds people, think outside the box. |
