Re: Mastering No Limit Hold\'Em Question

does anybody actually like this book? [/ QUOTE ] I like the book. Good primer. With the exception of the stack size discussion (and the implied odds that go along with it), I found it very useful. |

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold\'Em Question
I am a decent limit player, 15/30 range. I have read a little over half.
This book reminds me a lot like a bunch of limit books. A lot of these things seem obvious. "If there is a raise then a reraise in front of you then reraise with As or Ks but think about Qs". Really? "If you have 94 and there are 5 limpers and the flop is 4-4-T, be careful". Really? There constant examples of if there is one limper, if there is a limper and raise, bla bla bla all seem pretty obvious to any limit player. The only thing I have found that useful is bet 3/4 the pot nearly all the time. The image, position, etc are all familiar to limit players. I wouldn't recommond this book personally. Perhaps a very starter book for someone who knows how to play hold'em for less than a month and wants to start NL without a large knowledge of limit or other hold'em games. |

does anybody actually like this book? [/ QUOTE ] I do. I thought it was a good intro NLHE book. Certainly worth the purchase price. |
