The best part of this is that it looks like it's his first OOT post ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

haha. maybe [censored] should have cut him some slack then.

[/ QUOTE ]

Better to just nip these things in the bud now.

[/ QUOTE ]

is he banned from 2+2 then or is there a way to simply ban him from OOT? the reason i ask is that taking a poster with 500+ posts who stumbles upon OOT to ask what he thinks is an interesting question, and is unaware of the changes in OOT, and then banning him from all of 2+2 for this reason seems a bit extreme. I've said it before, OOT is just a small part of this entire site whos main focus is p**** and gambling, and this type of banning seems bad for business.

If there is a way to simply ban a poster from a specific forum, and that is what was done, then I retract my entire statement.

Its in the sticky (no poker) and no you cannot be banned from specific forums.

[/ QUOTE ]

There are stickies in plenty of forums. People don't get instabanned in the Zoo for discussing rakeback. They usually get a warning, some flames, and are told what they did wrong.

how many people actually read all the stickies in a forum the first time they enter it? or ever for that matter?

[/ QUOTE ]

The stickies are there for a reason. They usually exist to inform users of important things they should know before making a post. If a poster can't be bothered to read the stickies, I really don't have a whle lot of sympathy for them.

He can make a new god damned account. All he loses is his nick and his post count. And if you don't read the stickies then you deserve what you get. I sure as hell read the stickies whenever I go to a new forum so that [censored] like this doesn't happen.
