Re: Is Super System 2\'s NL Section Outdated?
[ QUOTE ]
Doyle's style is all about throwing fastballs inside. If your opponents allow you to push them around it's works well. As soon as they notice the pattern they will catch up with you and start hitting it over the fence. Therefore you should also have a change-up in your repertoire. [/ QUOTE ] Nice analogy. I heard, back in the day, he used to through some spit-balls as well. Carried a file in his glove. |

Re: i have a question.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] hey everyone. i was wondering what books are good to learn about NLHE. i tried search, but i couldn't find anything. [/ QUOTE ] Do a-holes like you even read the posts before you insert sarcastic, idiotic one-liners? The post doesn't ask what books are good, the post is attempting to stimulate a discussion of the ideas presented in the book. Great job with your reading comprehension skills. [/ QUOTE ] You're really not very bright are you? |

Don't you find it funny that you're the only one that has a problem with this post? [/ QUOTE ] I too have a problem with these repetitive posts but don't usually bother saying so. But you asked. I'm sure there are many others like me. Nothing personal. |

Who's forcing you to read threads that you don't want to because they're "repetitive"? 2. Which other threads discuss in any depth the principles of Brunson's book? |

[/ QUOTE ] Let's see what's out there after searching for "Super System", last three months: Top 10 Favorite Poker Books ...Oh yes, very healthy discussion of Doyle's book. GSHE the new Bible for beginners?... I've never seen such a detailed discussion of the topics addressed in SSII, especially no limit. King Yao "Weighing the Odds" ...There it is, that's the discussion I was looking for. Negreanu book on amazon.com ...Wow, that might be a little too deep for me. how is super system 2's triple draw 2-7 chapter? ...Now that gets right to the heart of SSII's NL chapter. Geez, why didn't I just use the search function in the first place to find an intelligent discussion of the material presented in SSII concerning the application of his notions on NL hold em? |

Re: Attn: Jake
With your search results, this thread just keeps getting better. :P
I think I see why others haven't linked to threads on SS2's NL section. :P |
